Episode 148 – Running away from anxiety and finding her happy place …

On the episode of the podcast Adele Smith all the way from the UK, shares her running journey.

Adele is a teacher in the North West of England (near Manchester) and started running a couple of years ago as a way to raise funds for medical treatment for a rescue dog from Romania!


She used the Couch to 5k app to get her started and up to the 5k distance!


Spoiler alert – she raised the money and is now a running convert 🙂


Not only did the dog get the treatment Adele found she had less anxiety and she lost weight – win win!


I loved chatting to Adele, not just because of her awesome accent but also because of her infectious enthusiasm for running 🙂

Adele’s Tips – if you’ve never run try the Couch to 5k, if you’ve run a bit and coming back to it start at week 3 or 4, do what feels right for your body, make sure you have the right equipment, if something feels wrong STOP.
